About project
We believe that “Mihai Eminescu”
National College is responsible for looking new solutions in order to optimize
personal and professional development of the students, in general and of those
who come from disadvantaged environments, in particular, for strengthening the
relationship between school and families, as a guarantee of the success. The
project aims to increase the quality of the educational services offered by
identifying, applying and developing the most appropriate European practices
for approaching diversity. In this regard, we propose: - to improve the
teaching-learningevaluation strategies with new methods and techniques, by
integrating at least two new methods / techniques for enhancing student
motivation into the teaching strategies to at least one discipline in each
curricular area; - to diversify the ways and means of achieving effective
communication and relationships with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds and
their families by developing a Master's Guide, as a result of integrating the examples
of good European practices to the realities of our school; - to enrich the
offer of extracurricular activities that promote inclusion with at least three activities
based on the use of non-formal learning methods inspired by European
practices. The project will start by establishing the management team, the selection
team and the selection of participants. 11 teachers from our school will participate
in selected courses depending on professional and institutional skills and
needs.. The project development methodology comes in their help by including:
the preparation for participation in training courses, management support,
personal development training, leadership and decision making, doing the
workshops on the topics mentioned. The participants will return with important
newly acquired / developed knowledge and skills regarding a better
teaching-learning-assessing didactic strategy, improved communication and
relationship with students and their environment and to target the promotion of
inclusion through new non formal activities. The school's pupils and teachers,
parents and members of the local community are the direct beneficiaries. The
impact on pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds and other students will be
highlighted by reinforcing motivation for learning, their own image and
selfesteem as well as confidence in their own potential. The students families
from disadvantaged backgrounds will support more the personal development of
students by reinforcing confidence in the ability of the school to respond to
their problems. Our school will be an example in encouraging inclusion and
addressing diversity by increasing the attractiveness of the college for local
community members (potential beneficiaries of
education) in the context of the current competitive educational climate.
Posting the results of our project on eTwinning and SEG platforms, will
increase the interest of teachers in EU projects participation and motivate
them to further develop their teaching skills. Our school wants to offer an example
of good practice for other school units / theoretical colleges, in terms of
encouraging inclusion and addressing diversity. Prior to the start of the
project, we will establish the dissemination and exploitation activities, their
target groups, communication channels: Teacher's council, project site, school
